8/1: SMMAS Summer 2026 Check In
Happy Summer Spartan Families!
We are officially in our Back to School Era - just 3 1/2 weeks until we are together again! The excitement is building for a great year, and we are busy getting things ready for you. Over the past two weeks, we have completed some painting in areas that needed a refresh, and all floors have been cleaned and resurfaced. Enjoy these last few weeks of your summer vacation - there is still time to have some adventures, have fun with family and friends, and enjoy a relaxed summer schedule. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Some exciting news over the past two weeks...
 Sophia C '26 was named an ALL CYO ALL STAR for the 2025-2026 Sport Season! This is an incredible honor and speaks to the outstanding effort and contributions Sophia made to her teams at SMMAS with her athletic ability, leadership skills, and sportsmanship.

The Class of 2026 came back to SMMAS and gifted our school with beautiful canvases for our hallway. The tradition of class gifts is timeless and priceless!
The SMMAS Community Prayer will now hang for all to see, reminding all our students and families of the words that connect and protect us each day. A beautiful photo of the class at their 8th Grade Camp Retreat will serve as a beautiful reminder that God's love for us is present in all moments.

Important School Information:
- Gradelink login information will be sent home during the first week of school
- Parent/Student Handbook is under construction and will be made available to all parents before the first week of school. It will be posted to the school website and aligned with ADLA standards.

Don't forget...
The first day of school is August 26th, 2026 @ 7:45 am.
August 26-28 will be early dismissal at 12:30 pm.
After School Care will be available beginning the first day of school.

August 24th is Supply Drop-off at SMMAS!
Families can drop off their students' supplies to the marked tables in the lunch area. Teachers and aides will collect the supplies from this area and deliver them to the classrooms.
TK/K Families - You can bring your supplies to the August 20th Information Night with your teachers.
We are happy to announce we will be welcoming 19 new families to our school community this year!
Thank you for spreading the word about our school and what we offer. We continue to meet with new families and are excited to see the potential growth across all grades.
There is space available in all grades for the 2026-2027 school year!
Please refer your friends and family to SMMAS - we are happy to show off our beautiful school and let people know about the great things happening in our community.
2026-2027 SMMAS Uniform Updates:
Please click here for the updated uniform guide. All items remain the same; one sweatshirt has been added for Grades 6-8. The SMMAS Uniform Guide is also posted on the PARENT RESOURCE PAGE. Sweaters are not required in August or during periods of extreme heat. Teachers will keep their classes informed.
Note: Mass uniforms are white shirts only this year, with formal bottoms and one of the sweater options.

Used Uniform Sales
for Back to School in the St. Margaret Mary Room.
Mark the following dates on your calendar:
Prices range from $5 -$20:
$5 - Blouses, polo shirts, PE shorts & sweat pants
$10 - Skorts, shorts, dress shorts & pants, sweaters, vests, & sweatshirts
$15 - Jumpers and skirts
$20 - All Jackets (nylon, fleece)

SMMAS Summer Fun & Learning - ONE MORE WEEK!
The program offers a variety of activities, including academics, sports and games, and a walking field trip! Daily sessions run from 8 am-12 pm (Monday-Friday). Please click here to complete the Google Form Registration and submit payment to the office.
We hope you can join us for some summer fun!
As per California State Law, all incoming 7th Graders must have their TDAP vaccine. Please provide a copy to the office before the start of the school year. For more information or if you would like to learn more about California school immunization requirement, please visit the Shots For Schools website.
