Student Life Introduction

At St. Margaret Mary Alacoque School, education extends well beyond the classroom walls. We believe in nurturing the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. Our dynamic Student Life programs provide students with opportunities to discover their passions, build lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills, and deepen their faith through service and community.

Opportunities Beyond the Classroom

• CYO Sports: Through Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) athletics, our student-athletes learn the fundamentals of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition. Participating in seasonal sports allows students to represent our school with pride while building confidence and physical fitness. Open to grades 4-8, CYO sports help both new and experienced athletes learn and grow. 

• Student Council: Open to students in grades 4 through 8, Student Council empowers young leaders to serve as the voice of the student body. Members organize school-wide events, lead spirit initiatives, and put faith into action through meaningful community service.

• Altar Serving: Students in eligible grades are invited to actively assist at parish and school Masses as Altar Servers. This sacred ministry fosters reverence, responsibility, and a deeper connection to the Catholic faith and Liturgy.

• Student Choir: Our choir gives musically inclined students a creative outlet to glorify God through song. Members enhance our school liturgies and prayer services while learning vocal technique, harmony, and musical collaboration.

• Seasonal & Rotating After-School Programs: To accommodate diverse interests throughout the school year, we offer a variety of rotating enrichment clubs and after-school activities—ranging from STEM and art to drama and specialized skills workshops.
