Dear Spartan Families -
If you have not heard the news yet, I am proud to announce that we are home to the 2026 Girls A Basketball Navy Division Champions! Our SMMAS girls dominated in the championship game with a 35-19 win over St. Eugene School. The team began working together in November, and their success is a direct reflection of the time, hard work, effort, teamwork, and determination that each member possesses. Thank you to our school families and teachers who travelled to Burbank to support the team. This is an incredible achievement, and while we will lose two players to 8th-grade graduation this year, the future looks bright for the upcoming years!
Thank you to all the amazing parent volunteer coaches who worked with the girls this year - your passion, dedication, and school spirit were instrumental in the success of the team.
Congratulations to Sophia C., Melissa S., Ava B-A., Riley A., Daniela M., Karylle D., Casey N., Gina Rose A., Samantha C., Precious T., and Reux N. We are so proud of you! Go Spartans!

Re-enrollment for current families begins this week! We will send out a separate email with specific instructions to begin this process.
This Week: The Second Grade Class will be hosting a Bake Sale! Students can purchase hot dogs, pizza, nachos, and sweet treats. All proceeds help support field experiences and class activities.

- RSVP for Neon Disco Nights (Father/Daughter Event) on March 7th 2026
It is time get your Sparkle On and Dress to Shine for the 2026 Father/Daughter Dance. This year, the theme is Neon Disco Nights, and it promises to be a bright and fun time for all the dads, daughters, and important father figures. The cost is $25 per couple ($10 for additional guest) and includes snacks & refreshments, entertainment, photo moments, and more!
IMPORTANT: Use the QR code on the flyer to RSVP. The form and payment can be sent to the school office. Check your blue folder for the form and event information. Please RSVP by Wednesday, March 4th!

The 2025-26 yearbook is under construction and the Yearbook Club is hard at work putting all the pieces together to create a lasting memory for all of us. Families have two options: Soft Cover books are $27, and Hard Cover books are $34.

The Yearbook Club kindly requests that families upload pictures to help build our 25-26 school yearbook! The process is simple, easy, and quick!
- Click here, and you will be directed to a link for Creator Studio Pro.
- Enter your email address and submit.
- Select the photos on your phone that you would like to contribute.
- Choose the correct folder to match the event pictures you are uploading. For example, classroom activities can be stored in the Teacher’s folder, but there are also folders for Jogathon, Halloween, Catholic Schools Week, art, sports, and more.
- Upload in batches or all at once!

- Fish Fry Fridays are back!
The Holy Name Society will be serving a Traditional Fish Fry Dinner in Father Hegarty Hall this Friday, March 6th, from 5-7 pm. Each meal is $15 and includes a free drink. Payment accepted at the door.

Mark your calendars! Plans are underway for a wonderful community event in May. Here are some key details:
- Theme: Western
- Tickets: $35 or $60 for 2 tickets
- 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm. **Daycare will be available for $10 per SMMAS family (pizza + snacks)
- Tickets include: BBQ plate, drink ticket, and poker chips to play
- Holy Name to host the playing tables
- Also: DJ, sitting areas, a bar, raffle baskets, balloon/gift card game
- Mission Fair
- Catholic Veterans Ministry Scholarship Opportunity
St. Margaret Mary Alacoque School families are invited to apply for one of three $1,500 scholarships, made possible through the generosity of the Catholic Veterans Ministry. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be students at SMMAS, in grades K-8, and be the child or dependent of a U.S. military veteran who is a parent, legal guardian or grandparent with legal responsibility for the student. If you would like to apply for this scholarship or would like more information, please contact Mrs. Raad via email for more information. The application deadline is April 10, 2026.
- Absent work - please call or email the office to request homework and report an absence. The office will relay the message to the teacher. If work is requested, it will be made available for 3:00 pm, and parents can pick it up in the office.
- Lunch delivery - When dropping off lunches, please include water, lemonade, or juice. No soda, Gatorade, or milkshakes, please.
- Drop off/Pick Up Procedures - Please remember to enter the campus from the Eshelman gate and exit from the gate on 255th St. Traffic is ONE WAY during drop off and pick up times.
