8th Grade Grade Picture Instructions

Mark your Calendars - It’s time to dress up and say “Cheese!”
Important Information: Cap and Gown Photo Shoot

Who? The Class of 2026

What? Pictures for the yearbook/individual graduation photos

When? February 26th, 2025 @ 7:30 am

Where? SMMS -meet in the 8th-grade classroom to start

Why? To capture an epic milestone!

Important Details:

Students arrive at school by 7:30 am "picture ready"; bring their gown pressed on a hanger. Please label the gowns hanger with student name. Hand steamers work very well on gowns. 

Students wear their caps; we can help with this at school as well.

Students bring a school uniform and shoes to change into after the picture.

Boys:

• dark dress pants
• white or blue solid collared dress shirt with tie
• may bring an alternative shirt for the individual, non-gown picture
• solid color shoes: black, brown, or white
• traditional tie/bow tie
• traditional haircuts only/no bleached or dyed hair

Girls:

• Dress or dress pants and blouse
• follow school guidelines for special dress (no jeans, leggings, or straps less than two inches), modest dresses of appropriate length (no mini skirts, tight fitting, low necklines, cut-outs, sheer material, or low backs)
• dress shoes with a back strap or flats/wedges in solid colors (black, brown, or white); no heels over 2 inches
• light makeup with parent permission (no nail polish, gel, acrylic, or dip)
• traditional haircuts only/no bleached or dyed hair

The school covers the sitting fees for students. Following the sitting, the photographer will provide a link for parents to purchase digital photos.
